Meet Your Local Flower Farmer

Our story

Hi there! I’m Jackie Augustin, the founder, farmer 1st, educator and florist behind the scenes of Blumen Acres.

Our farms roots go back generations from my husband Tysons German Descendants who started cultivating the land after having immigrated over from Germany. Our name pays homage to his family’s history and legacy. “Blumen” is the German word for Flower and our Branding is tied to the Bavarian flag.

Why Flowers?

Ever since I can remember flowers have been part of my creative existence. It wasn’t until meeting my husband and moving to his homestead that I really dug into my passion. One could say that Covid ignited something in me and my passion took hold.

We are a micro dahlia flower farm in one of the most beautiful spots in Goodhue County. Just outside of Haycreek Valley we live on 6 acres and farm less than one acre. We grow 50+ varieties of dahlia and just over 20+ other annuals and perennials for the cut flower industry which are not usually found in stores.
